Tutorial 1: introduction
Hello,
In this first tutorial, we will complete the Lip Synchronisation for the November' 10 second club contest. What is the 10 second Club? The 10 Second Club is a monthly character animation competition.
Go to:

and download the sound file. You have it? Ok. Open Papagayo import the sound.
You have this screen:
Next, enter this text in the Spoken Text Frame:
The combination is: one, two, three, four, five.
Push the English button. Papagayo compute for you the translation between worsd and phonems. Phonems? In fact, a phoneme is basicaly (for animation) a position of the mouth, teeth an tongue. Papagayo use the Preston Blair Phonem System:

Consonants :

So Papagayo transform the text to a set of phonems.
Next, create a new Voice (if you need more help, use the Help panel).
For the second speaker, use this text:
That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kind'a thing an idiot would have on his lugage!
Push English... sometimes you need to give extra information to Papagayo (kinda is not a word in the dictionnary).
Use Papagayo and put the word at the right place.
At the end, you will have this screen (or something like that):

Save your project. You did it!
Next step, you will build your character in Blender and after that, he will speak!
